They are especially designed to filter particles generated by ceramic, cotton, fiberglass, tobacco, carbide gridding, plaster and cement among others.
Fan filters or ventilation units mostly used on ceiling systems for cleanrooms for microstructure technologies or plastic injection systems. Its purpose is to provide extremely clean air in production and filling systems, giving a laminar air flow, filtered over a specific area. The unit combines a high efficiency fan with a HEPA filter. The FFU brings contaminated air from the top of the module and returns clean filtered air which has been filtered in a vertical manner in a laminar air flow.
